My Life

What a mixed up complicated life I lead,
Where is the beauty, where is the fun,
Once there was laughter, now only pain,
I’m lost in a dark place, now my life is gone.

Whatever happened to the girl I was,
Where did all her nature go,
I hope she is still hiding inside,
And one day she will blossom and grow.

I don’t really know who I am any more,
Am I the person that I should be,
It’s like a whole world has passed me by,
And I can no longer see.

I need to see, and be awoken,
From this dull dark place,
So I can face the world once more,
With a smile upon my face.

I have lived in my own world for to long,
There’s no room for me to grow,
I need to open the door, and shine,
From my world, I need to let go.

So that once more I have colour,
Not just monochrome, and dull,
With three dimensional pictures,
I need to live life to the full.
