GHOST

The Landlady

Behind the bar,
Came the lady of the house,
No footsteps were heard,
She was quiet as a mouse.

She told us of ghosts,
Of people from the past,
Those whose spirits have gone,
But who’s soul’s are here to last.

Who can I see,
Are you really there,
As I look right through her,
Excuse me if I stare.

Her eerie tales
Told of times gone by,
Is she real or one of them,
And can she really fly.

But she was so strange,
Not real as we know,
What sort of person is she,
A little scared we decide to go.
