Little Green Frog
What are you doing,
Little green frog,
Hipping and hopping,
Across that soggy bog.
Splash into the pond you go,
And then rest upon a lily pad,
Waiting for your dinner,
You do look very sad.
What do you want to eat,
There’s a little minnow swimming by,
Will that be your lunch today,
Or will it be a fat juicy fly.
My how you have grown up fast,
From tadpole to handsome frog,
All you need is a princess,
To join you in your bog.
You are so very handsome,
The best down by the pond,
A prince amongst frogs,
You sing your croaking song.
Now here comes your princess,
To place kiss upon your lips,
To change things forever,
Into your bog she slips.
Now she’s a frog too,
You sing and croak together,
Sitting on your lily pad,
Whatever the weather.
